We at the North Jersey Vineyard Church believe in a living God who heals people emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically today. Regularly, people are healed of various things during life group prayer time, during prayer ministry time during the worship services, and by special prayer appointments outside the weekend service. Like Jesus, we try to focus on listening to God and following His direction during prayer.
Life of Care and Healing
Many times in life we find ourselves experiencing emotional, spiritual, or physical upheaval. Vineyard church founder, John Wimber, would often say, “The church is a hospital, a family, an army and a school.” As the body of Christ, the North Jersey Vineyard Church purposefully co-labors with Jesus as a hospital, tending to broken places by coming alongside people to bring Jesus’ care and healing love. Because of this, we are intentional about encouraging everyone to be involved in a life group so that when (not if) they face a difficult life situation; they will have the love, care and prayer support of a community to come alongside them with the love of Jesus. If you find yourself struggling in any way, this brochure will tell you what help the North Jersey Vineyard Church has to offer (in addition to the support you get within your life group) and how to find the help you need.
Prayer Ministry during the Worship Service
Every worship service provides an opportunity to receive prayer from people in the church trained in prayer ministry and hearing from God. Generally, prayer ministry is available after the message, during the worship time. People who are interested in being prayed for can go to the hallway behind the stage during worship, where one or two people will pray for you for about 10 minutes in a safe, non-threatening environment. People from the prayer ministry team pray together for about a half hour before each service with the focus being trying to discern what God wants to do in a particular service. These things are then spoken out after the message and just before worship. Even if the thing you are dealing with was not specifically spoken, please come for prayer.
Soaking Prayer Ministry
While sometimes God heals instantaneously, many times He chooses to heal slowly through ongoing prayer. Anyone who is interested can call the church or email Jon to schedule a soaking prayer session which generally would last a little less than an hour sometime during the week.
Special Services
Occasionally, the North Jersey Vineyard will schedule special nights of worship and healing. These are nights completely dedicated to being in God’s presence and following his direction for healing.

The North Jersey Vineyard Church offers prayer ministry training several times throughout the year to equip people to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit while praying for people. The next one is April 12th from 10am to 12:30 pm at the church.
