In March, I was snowboarding and I crashed and completely ruptured my ACL in my right knee. The ACL is the ligament which holds the top part of the leg to the bottom part of the leg and stabilizes the twisting motion of the leg. After consulting the MRI, the doctor said that it was completely torn and had no chance of healing by itself. About a month or so later, two members of the prayer ministry team were praying for it. One felt very strongly that he should pray boldly for healing. Right then my knee felt warm and it tightened up. It no longer felt wobbly and sloppy. I continued to go to physical therapy and went to the doctors about two months later. The doctor pulled and twisted my good leg and pulled and twisted the one that had been injured. He said that he couldn't do an ACL reconstruction and get it better than it already was! In fact, he couldn’t even tell the difference between my good knee and my “bad” knee. This was a real answer to prayer because the rehab after ACL surgery is very long (several months!). I have been walking, biking, hiking, and playing volleyball and snowboarding on it since and it continues to feel fine. It is not quite back to normal as I can tell when the weather changes, but certainly very functional without pain and most of the time barely noticeable that it is any different. I hope this encourages you to step out in faith when God leads! He is Good. He does answer prayers.
